Our work there is to make the graphic design of a vinyl pocket by choosing an album of an artist. I chose the band Franz Ferdinand and their album "You Could have it so much better" which for me is their best album. At first I made several tests for the cover. On the front of the cover, I decided to put only the name of the album, because in their real album there was a woman screaming the name of the group.
On their real albums, there are a lot of inspiration from the Russian Constructivism. So with that, I was inspired by the constructivism adding geometric shapes and the yellowish color that gives this antique look. And to give a more modern look, I chose a very light purple. This photo comes from a Russian constructivist artist Alexander Rodchenko and many of his works have been used for a few albums of Franz Ferdinand. So I chose a picture of him with lines that works with geometric shapes. For the background of the cover I stayed in the spirit of constructivism by placing the titles of their songs and the name of the group like a bit of front cover. For the inside I did the same with the various texts
