A remake of the classical Bauhaus era Red & Blue chair otherwise known as the Reitveld Chair. This work attempts to re-interpret and relook iconic objects through the eyes of a different culture - Nigeria and Africa in this case. The technique employed the use of iconic design objects from the Bauhaus and merged it with pattern designs created using the heritage Igbo Uli artform from south eastern Nigeria to birth something new. In the end a 'design process', providing a solution on how to tackle the effects of globalisation as it borders on 'merging cultures' and ultimately the eroding of the weaker one was created.
