Marzacarta è una decorazione natalizia che si fa espressione della vivacità e della gioia di questo unico e caratteristico momento dell’anno. I suoi cromatismi giocano con le tonalità brune della carta e il bianco della neve. Il tono freddo dei grafismi e gli intervalli che intercorrono tra lo sfondo e la superficie stampata rafforzano questa dicotomia.
Marzacarta is a Christmas decoration that expresses the liveliness and joy of this unique and characteristic moment of the year. Its colors play with the brown tones of the paper and the white of the snow. The cold tone of the graphics and the intervals between the background and the printed surface reinforce this dichotomy.
Ramato è uno studio, un laboratorio di idee e un progetto artistico. Ogni elemento è stato ideato, realizzato e proposto a quattro mani da Serena Mabilia e Federico Fusetti. La decorazione Marzacarta è il risultato originale del loro naturale assortimento: Serena si è occupata delle illustrazioni e ha curato la selezione tessile, mentre Federico ha supervisionato la stampa e il formato finale.
Ramato is a studio, a laboratory of ideas and an artistic project. Each element was conceived, created and proposed jointly by Serena Mabilia and Federico Fusetti. The Marzacarta decoration is the original result of their natural assortment: Serena took care of the illustrations and took care of the textile selection, while Federico supervised the printing and the final format.
Le casette imbiancate, vicino al tono Snow White di Pantone, sono state intagliate su tre matrici di linoleum. L’inchiostro impiegato per l’impressione è Caligo Safe Wash della Cranfield Colours. Le linoleumgrafie sono state stampate a mano con un tirabozze manuale, a cura di ramatostudio nel mese di dicembre 2020.
The whitewashed houses, close to Pantone's Snow White tone, were carved on three linoleum blocks. The ink used for the impression is Caligo Safe Wash by Cranfield Colors. The linocuts were printed by hand with a manual etching press, by ramatostudio in December 2020.
Ogni esemplare è unico perché ogni stampa artistica impressa manualmente su fogli quadrangolari è stata sagomata e confezionata offrendo tre declinazioni dello stesso tema. Illustrazione e incisione così coniugate hanno dato origine a un prodotto di papeterie dal carattere peculiare.
Each piece is unique because each art print manually printed on quadrangular sheets has been shaped and packaged offering three variations of the same theme. Illustration and engraving thus conjugated have given rise to a product of stationery store with a peculiar character.
Le decorazioni di forma e misura variabile sono raccolte da una sottile fascetta di carta velina bianca di 2 cm, sigillata da un’etichetta impressa da una gomma intagliata. La stampa ripropone il logo di Ramato, con la medesima tonalità dell’identità visiva.
The decorations of varying shapes and sizes are collected by a thin 2 cm strip of white tissue paper, sealed with a label imprinted and a carved rubber stamp on it. The print reproduces the Ramato logo, with the same tone of the visual identity.
Per la stampa di ogni decorazione è stata scelta carta Fedrigoni color bruno 250 gr. in misura 110x100 mm. Ciascun set di casette è indivisibile e presenta tre stili di chalet montano, seguendo la distinguibile forma dei biscotti in pan di zenzero, tipico dolce natalizio.
For the printing of each decoration, was chosen 250 gr. brown Fedrigoni paper in size 110x100 mm. Each set of houses is indivisible and features three mountain chalet styles, following the distinguishable shape of gingerbread cookies, a typical Christmas sweet recipe.
Le decorazioni Marzacarta fanno parte dell’edizione Christmas cards: un progetto che si sviluppa con tre differenti declinazioni della decorazione in carta stampata. Insieme a Holly Jolly e Pinetto racchiudono la riflessione materica di Ramatostudio per il Natale 2020.
The Marzacarta decorations are part of the Christmas cards edition: a project that develops with three different declinations of the printed paper decoration. Together with Holly Jolly and Pinetto they enclose Ramatostudio's material reflection for Christmas 2020.
Ogni decorazione è completata da un filo di cotone bianco e rosso, annodato e chiaro riferimento ai tipici cromatismi natalizi. In questa veste le stampe rivelano la loro versatilità come dono, decorazione per la casa o addobbo per il classico abete, ma anche biglietto di auguri e ornamento.
Each decoration is completed by a white and red cotton thread, knotted and clear reference to the typical Christmas colours. In this capacity the prints reveal their versatility as a gift, home decoration or decoration for the classic fir, but also greeting card and ornament.
