The nervous system, culminating in the brain, is responsible for feelings in the body. The network of nerve vessels and channels is enormous and extends to the farthest places in the body. The two hemispheres of the brain are powerful computing machines that continuously receive signals from the nervous system. After somatic sensations, as well as those coming from the body's senses, the brain calculates all these impulses in real time, thus generating a series of different sensations that we can call feelings.
