Current public transport systems in switzerland have reached their capacity limits. How can we optimize the boarding behavior?
The biggest problems in todays suburban trains are the boarding behaviour which causes delays; the interior design which is not optimized to ensure fast boarding.
Based on the existing suburban trains in Switzerland we created a new design for the interior. Two small doors at the end of each carriage are mainly for short distance travellers. The sprawling main door in the middle of each carriage allows more effective entering and leaving.
