Duvel 150 anniversary illustration design

It all began when Jan-Léonard Moortgat and his wife founded the Moortgat brewery farm in 1871. Around the turn of the century, Moortgat was one of the over 3,000 breweries operating in Belgium.Inspired by the success of English ales, Albert decided to create a special beer based on the English model. The new beer was initially dubbed 'Victory Ale'. Yet after tasting it, a shoemaker named Van De Wouwer was struck by the fact that he hailed 'een Echte Duvel.' In the Dutch, Belgium's official language, Duvel is the English Devil. As a result, it was marketed under the new name "Duvette" from 1923, which was quite shocking in The Catholic Flanders of the day.
“This is a real duvel”, becomes the inspiration for the design of this series of illustrations.
The moon and the stars have witnessed Duvel's 150 glorious years, with the religious romance of the moon and the sun slightly closed and the devil in the center holding duvel's tulip cup in one hand and duvel's beer bottle in the other, along with hops and fermenting bubbles surrounded him. When toasted at a tilted 45-degree Angle, the experience is ritualistic and perfectly tuned to the beer's fragrance, so the overall design has a swaying tilt but also full of balance rhythm.
