Project Brief
Family owned and run apiary Bee Kine Hawaii came to me to help bring their delicious honey to people around the world. They were looking for a flexible identity that could be used on packaging and other lifestyle items that they produce.
Solution
Island life greatly influenced the brand. A shaka sign is used as the main visual encircled by a bee and local flowers. To create a more balanced visual, negative spaces surrounding the mark were filled in purposefully with sun rays, waves and pollen floating above. A bold, but playful typeface was paired with the hand drawn illustrations to further the personal nature of the business and island lifestyle of the brand.
