A Piece Of My Heart

Infinite Variety Productions is a theatre company in NYC, for which I have done several cards for over the last three years. This card is production v3.0 of A Piece of My Heart. This card retains the original blood spattered heart theme and adds more ornimentation to give it a more compassionate feel. The play is about women who have only recently been recognized as having served and sacrificed as non-combatants in Vietnam during war. The heart is the most conventional and memorable symbol to use to represent the show. The type and blood spatter and texture give the heart the sense of conflict, while the ornament balences the violence with humanity. Other symbols that are used are barbed wire, obviously, and little white crosses to represent the red cross, and white dots to represent those found on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in DC.
