Hakken is an energetic dance from the Netherlands. it appeared in the 90s, as an attribute of Gabber — fast hardcore techno and subculture of the same name. Gabber sounds evil and marginal. Media called gabbers skinheads and drug addicts dancing moronic dances in ridiculous sportswear. The basis of their dance is short rhythmic steps, which are periodically replaced by throwing one leg after another.
