In October 2020,I spent a weekend working on the NASA International Space Apps Challenge with my team Sarah Li and Sebastian Nilsson. Our challenge was to create a mascot that can help make learning about Earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences. Presenting Waio and our app, "Waio - The Curious Explorer".
After being reviewed by experts from NASA, ESA, JAXA, CNES, CSA and other partner agencies, we were selected as one of the top 40 Global Finalists out of 2,300+ entries from around the globe.
The finalists will now be evaluated by the executive committee from the above space agencies to determine the global winners.
