Problem :
Many students face inconveniences in getting the data through official Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University website and spending a lot of time waiting for the hard copy of their marksheets.
The biggest problem was the examination results , to find one student's result they have to look into 500+ pages of pdf as well as unsystematic form of notices being released.
Challenges :
To reduce the student effort to get their examination related information. Especially in the time when their exam results got released.
To be updated with their course related notices .
Summary :
Being a student of the same University went through the same hustles I eventually developed a Mobile application called “IPU Exam Cell” that reduced the students’ effort by providing information and services to save time and cost-cutting for the exam section.
Process :
My process started with identifying the existing process problems and understanding the college's students who face the existing process. Then I moved on to designing a solution, making it visually aesthetic and functional.
Research :
Primary Research
To understand the problem, there should be in-depth research to know the root cause. I did user research where I Studied 3 groups of people, one regular UG & PG students, College Academic Staff, and a college passed out students.
After the quantitative research I did a qualitative research where I found some key insights .
"I also found that the problem is not only with results but also in knowing the information."
Define :
I created a user scenario and storyboard on the basis of my previous research and data.
Ideation :
I started a brainstorming session on ideating possible solutions for the students. After several brainstorming hours I landed on designing a mobile application, so that information directly reaches the students.
Before going into visual design, I made sure to polish the features and user interaction flow.
Design :
Combing the user flow with wireframes
I made sure to polish the features and user interaction flow through the app’s High - Fidelity Wireframing to list user interaction’s potential features.
High-Fidelity Prototypes :
After creating the wireframes on Balasmiq and finalized the Visual Designs.
