The artwork's subject is time literally, physically and spiritually. The composing words, taken from a 1901 poem, "Time's Paces", by Henry Twells, describe the way time speed up as a person gets older in a self interpretation of the text. The relevance of the words, one century later, is overwhelming and disturbing as life today is faster, time is less noticeable and even taken for granted. The artwork is exploring our relationship with this abstract, yet important dimension, and raises questions about its importance, meaning, and connection to spirituality.
