Capo d'Orlando, a tribute to Construttivism and Shepard

the final output of this artwork clearly and explicitly
depict traits of constructivism in Russian Propaganda,
which was also inspired by Fairey Shepard
known for the world that revolves around
the OBEY brand (taken from “they lives” movie)
and the mural graphics with which
he has upholstered the planet.

If technically referencies are certain and evident,
from the conceptual and executive point of view
this work represents
a tribute to my country lighthouse
a distinctive and characteristic element of my community.
the latter is clearly visible
but embodies a function now partially hidden and excluded
from the current social dynamics/activites
of our dailylife,
nevertheless it remains still,
irremovable and loyal to its duty.

A tribute to its strength despite the change and oblivion
imposed by current modernity
which gives to this architectural institution
a marginal role in present times.

the pinecone that arises from its apex represents knowledge,
knowledge poised between the light beams,
close to the light but also protected by it,
hidden from the plebs but clear
for those who have eyes and ears to investigate.
