With this photo I use a gradient map and then used a brush on the areas that I wanted to come to life with color.
With this photo I selected a copy of the laptop and then opened the channels and clicked on the red channel. I then used a brush to select the areas of the map and then placed it over the original photo and lowered the opacity. It now has a window type effect.
Here I used the brush tool and set the size to 750 px. I then clicked on the Shape Dynamics and set the Size Jitter to around 70%. After that, I set the Scattering to 240% and turned on the Both Axes checkbox. I then set the Transfer's Opacity Jitter to 85%. I then brushed the background until I got the desired effect. I added a flare to the iPad using a brush that I made in one of the lessons. I also added a filter to the items to bring texture to the image.
With this photo I combined two different effects. I used the photo with the bokeh and filter effects and I applied a gradient map to it. I then used a brush to bring out the areas that I wanted to have color. On the circles I used two different settings in opacity so that the shades would differ.
This is my final project from this lesson. Here I used the photo that best represented my style and I designed a Self-Promo card that can be used to advertised my services. I added a drop shadow to my name so that it would stand out a little bit better. I also added an opaque background to bring out the tagline.
