Mark Hirschhorn's profile

The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation Safety Net

An experienced businessman, Mark Hirschhorn serves as the president, COO, and CFO of Talkspace, a telehealth provider of mental health services. Outside of work, Mark Hirschhorn supports multiple charitable organizations, including the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF).

NPCF raises money for important investigations into cancer diagnostics and treatments. It also provides direct assistance to families impacted by pediatric cancer.

One of NPCF’s key initiatives is the Safety Net financial assistance program, which provides grants to families struggling to meet the needs of a child undergoing cancer treatment. These grants can be used for treatment-related transportation costs, the purchase of durable home medical supplies and medications, and even cover insurance deductibles and co-payments.

Qualifying families can receive up to $2,500 annually to help with expenses. The application must be completed and signed by the patient’s guardian and a healthcare provider with documented expenses outlined. More information about the program, including eligibility requirements and information about the application process, is available at NationalPCF.org.
