MODE 21
The MODE (Motion Design Education) Summit is a conference that has been happening yearly, since 2013. It was founded by three professors driven to develop motion design research outlets, in order to disseminate motion design research and define the field. The central theme for June 2021 is (re)connect and examines the impact of motion design and motion literacy in current contexts, and explores future notions.
The logo for this event was created with the intention of conveying playfulness and the flexibility to create pattern by connecting the elements in the grid in as many different ways as possible. It also had to be in mind how the logo would work in motion.
