A Moment Suspended In Time, Pt. I
(Frozen)
Und vor mir, und meinen Augen, fällt ein Königreich.
[2020/09/21, The Remnants of a Dying World]

Nonetheless of nature and landscape photography for years, I still fail in any decent prediction of the weather, and how it might turn out. Too often it has changed in the blink of an eye, for good, or worse; or just stayed dull for days. But not this very day. I had a slight guess, and it turned out to be right. There was neither mist nor hoarfrost when I woke up nearby, but I remembered that a certain area of this forest was covered in mist during last afternoon – which I only knew about because I was already wandering around for hours. During dawn and the first minutes of sunrise there was only mist far in the valley below. Then, it ascended, and this unforgettable scenery happened. I have been there before a couple of times, but never saw this kind of frost around. May this place remain a safe haven for me forever. What else is there, in this empty, lonely world?
