Welcome :) This is the prototype project that I did with my team for school.
The pitch is as a part of Auckland council, we were told to create a recreational interface to get more young people using the local recreational facilities.
Therefore, we decided on creating a cultural event app that informs what's going on in Auckland.
I found an easy access for users to browse the app is key to success in the field of UX/UI,
my team and I agreed with providing users with the most popular event information first, Therefore, as a cultural event app for New Zealanders, the Poly Festival information is being shown in the front.
The hamburger menu overlaying the main page that comes from the left is considered as an effective design solution as we are targeting young people. (we found it less boring xD)

This is the main Event page through the hamburger menu. Since there are lots of cultural events, we added an Advanced search in order to optimize the search results for users.
Also we added a map that indicates where the events are held so the users can have a quick look at whereabouts.. since young people could have a tough time to travel around.
Appropriate images are always right.. good enough to drag people's attention to make them participate in the event and let them purchase a ticket for the entry.
The quantity buttons are highlighted with the colour so they don't forget to buy for their friends or fams
We considered the authentication was highly important to add as a moral and ethical concern.  As the app still deal with valuable information on users, It is essential to keep it safe.
Finally, we are at the end of the project. After the purchase, the app creates a QR code as a ticket for the users. They only need to bring their mobile to show the code for the entry

Thank you !!
