Imagining the Fire by Morning Goldrunner album art

Front cover - This is actually a composite of two photos taken from the same angle. Try and guess where the seam is. The final image was three layers in Photoshop.

Bottom layer - black and white version of the photo
Middle layer - color version of the photo with a radial layer mask so the color fades from the flowers to the edges
Top layer - The sunflowers were copied and pasted from the color layer so they are the only part of the cover in full vibrant color.  It creates a subtle but definite focal point.

The text was hand-drawn and then scanned and finished in Photoshop and Illustrator
These were all photos taken on the Keesling Farm (childhood home of female vocalist Michelle Keesling), which is referenced in detail on the 4th song on the album.  The font was actually created from samples of Michelle's handwriting.
Inside layout of album: Notice how the sunlight beams seem to be coming from the sunflower on the right. Beautiful!
