Complete Rebranding/Brand Guideline and Business Solution.

The Uga escape experience unites Sri Lanka’s magic with the warmest hospitality of her people. The five luxury hotels in Sri Lanka include Uga Ulagalla in Anuradhapura, Uga Jungle Beach in Trincomalee, Uga Bay in Pasikudah, as well as Uga Residence – a unique boutique retreat in Colombo and Uga Chena Huts in Sri Lanka’s safari hotspot Yala.
Each one of these boutique hotels embody detailed guest services. From their conscientious creation through environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, Uga ensures that guests are luxuriously comfortable. Contemporary facilities are blended into the design, where guests can indulge and sink into the surrounding beauty of the island.
All five hotels were brought into the fold for a brand unification and for the master brand to be refreshed after 10 years. We were tasked with reverse engineering and building the brand story and essence from scratch taking to account and building upon the values, USP/ESP, goals and strategy. An in-depth study was conducted to discover the authentic and ancient art of Sri Lanka from which a unique colour palette and decorative brand element was created. 
New names were proposed to all 5 hotels based on their ancient characteristics together with the native tongue keeping in line with the authentic Sri Lankan hospitality brand promise. A freshly fine-tuned minimalist brand identity was created along with a complete brand guideline.
