Since moving to an apartment in the Point Loma area, my roommates and I have been on the hunt for the best coffee shop in Ocean Beach, but have yet to find it. This inspired me to create my own coffee shop, Dose, which is based in the same area. My main goal when creating the logo was to focus on reflecting San Diego's beautiful beaches and family-based community, its two main attractions. The octopus and Dose lettering was all designed by hand and done in a clipart fashion to bring a playful and kid-friendly look to the company. I kept the color scheme simple and stuck to a dark charcoal grey, white, and blue. From my color selection and octopus logo design, I hope that customers will be reminded of San Diego.
