This 30-second clip explains what the Dark Web is using a dark and mysterious tone and manner. This motion graphic showcases interesting transitions and simple yet important information.
CONCEPT AND IDEA
Using simple yet eye-catching colors and graphics to explain the Dark Web in a fun and interesting manner. After extensive research, I simplified the information to create simple yet meaningful data to be shown to the audience which is what the Dark Web is, what to expect and what you can do there.
MOODBOARD
For the concept and art direction, I was looking into more of a DARK theme with outline designs. The background will be black in color and the outline designs and infographics will be in white. The main keywords when researching for my moodboard were:
i) Black & White
ii) Minimalistic
iii) Outline designs
iv) Graphs and Charts
v) Glitch effect
vi) Futuristic
SKETCHES
Using Adobe Photoshop, I drafted out rough sketches, the potential transitions and the movements I want to produce.
STORYBOARD
Following the sketches I made, I further improved it by sketching out the transitions and movements. This step is crucial as it allows me to fully gauge what and how my animation will be like.
