This parametric model is a replica of an existing pedestrian bridge located in Dubai Creek (UAE). I performed a parametric 3D modeling of the existing bridge by using the Dynamo plugin for Autodesk Revit.
Dynamo script allows us to control the angle of the twist, main bridge's dimensions (span, width, height), external ribs dimensions, pathway dimensions. 3D Geometry automatically adjusts once parameters are changed through the control nodes. Parametric modeling allows clients/architects to achieve the best configuration of the design concept without remodeling each time once adjustments are needed. Geometry created in Dynamo can be imported in Revit as a solid element for further design development.
