Aaron James Draplin is a graphic designer with a strong work ethic, bold opinions and a strong gregarious character. With a distinct style that embraces the minimalist aesthetic, bold colours, thick lines and a lot of personality, Many have referred to his work as “retro”, but this is too simplistic. Aaron takes from successful design and reinvents to create something that will last. It’s time tested. Taking that theme of “Time Tested” a fictional retrospective was created to showcase the impact that Draplin has had on the design community. 

The imagery used in the promotional materials applied to merchandise including buttons, shopping bags, and shirts. Aaron Draplin is known for his large beard and trucker hat, so these are used as icons in the designs. Thick lines and bold colours are dominant in his designs and are featured as patterns and textures in the merchandise.
