Blueboat wanted a new look - they had moved to a bigger, brighter location so they needed a brand that reflected the studio more appropriately. The director wanted something fresh to reflect the organic process of design, so the logo was adapted to be hand-drawn and a new photo-shoot of the studio was carried out. The new image was about creating something beautiful with depth in any medium - and a new slogan was created - ‘Blueboat - A Studio with Designs on Everything’. This means Blueboat can design any form of communication without boundaries - and this was reflected on the collateral alongside beautiful photography captured by Mark Chew, the company director. Collective Conversations was born from a concept for the aGideas studio Access night in 2010. The concept being that a conversation is two-ways so we set up the night based around conversations and set up x5 different areas where students could ask and also answer Q’s that we had prepared earlier. The type for the invite was based on origami boats that we had previouslu used as a promotial piece sent out to potential clients and we constructed the letters out of these boats. The night was a huge success and the ‘Collective Conversations’ concept was extended online in the months to follow.
