Initial beginning and thoughts

During my student years I've realized that the youth often don't understand what stands behind the iconic artworks, what makes them so precious. Studying works of art from art history textbooks, I could see how beautiful they are made, but still, I just couldn't get what makes an artist's work so worthy of attention.

And then I got a chance to travel to Rome. And I felt it. I saw the strong, diverse characters, emotions, and feelings behind every ceiling, every statue, and every brush stroke...

Looking and not seeing

I find it incredibly interesting how visual perception differs from one person to another. I feel like it's tightly connected to the associations, core memories, and values. And it was always especially interesting for me how people see and perceive the same image differently.
So the concept of this experiment was to let the viewer fill up visually the missing parts of the work of art "cut out". As well as noticing how the emotion from the art object changes and decreases, depending on the background.

Present yet not present idea explored through pen sketches as well as a concept of having good art materials for successful works explored in creating portraits with as simple as a bullet pen tool.

Digitalization concept and experiment of the combination of centuries through visual art tools.
Art living through visually.

The subjects of this series are statues as art objects depicted with overlaid portraits (created digitally).

I started perceiving every work of art as a separate living, breathing being... Even more, I see how influential pieces of art can be. And essentially, that's the influence of the artist, who keeps living through his work.
