This project is an exercise in understanding how shape and composition can be used to convey meaning. The goal is to create abstract compositions using only black and white rectangles, lines, and ellipses in order to deliver the message of a particular musical term.
Prior to executing our compositions on illustrator, we came up with at least 10 exploratory sketches for each of the 10 musical terms we selected.
