This project was all about taking something old, and making it new. In this case, I was tasked with redesigning a Josef Müller-Brockmann poster using all of the same elements he used in his original design while adding a new twist to the design to make it more appealing. The first thing that I noticed as I examined the original was that it appeared to be a very stiff and hard edged design. Music is flowing and rhythmic, so I decided to play with the “motion” of the type. The updated design has a more lively and musical feel.
