Die-line limited edition packaging_ The Floral Rooinek Gin

I created a limited edition packaging for De Vry Distilleries and a microsite with a clear call to action which creates awareness for a concept dear to the distilleries heart. The project is driven by the foundation and love that the distillery has for their country and their environment. Their distillery lies in the heart of the Free State and the entire inspiration for their business is their location. The Free State farmers are suppressed by the terrifying drought and are barely struggling to survive. The creative concept is to connect the impact of the drought in contrast to growth and expansion of their business. Their most botanical and floral product is the Rooinek Dry Gin which will be used as basis product of the limited edition packaging and drought campaign.

By connecting the two contrasts it creates awareness for the extreme drought and the blessing of the distillery which is flourishing through the drought and their lands are in a fertile area between all the dry farms surrounding them. The label is inspired by the ingredients of the Rooinek Gin which has 11 ingredients which is photographed with an illustrated map of the distilleries location where the very dry and endangered surroundings are in red. The idea of the label is to be very wet, fresh and botanical between the very dry gin flavour which symbolises the very dry areas surrounding the distillery. The microsite is also portrayed as a very clean and fresh site with a lot of photography of botanicals in a lot of white space. The icons are all inspired by
the actual ingredients of the gin and all 6 icons suggest something different being discussed on the microsite.
