I just love the fascination and culture of printmaking. In this project I did not exactly do a printmaking illustration but referenced the style of intaglio printmaking. This image was shot during my vacation in Montreal City, Canada. My first draft of this picture was that I looked at it for reference and drawn from it done in the art style of intaglio prints. Although, I do not have a printmaking roller machine and other tools, at one point I did took a course of printmaking back in the spring. Because of the pandemic I did not do enough printmaking projects, however this piece was an assignment where I can take any image and do a style of intaglio prints, linocuts, and silkscreen. For this image I tried to include all the cross-hatching on the road and buildings. I also tried adding lots of small miniature lines and dots around the trees and bushes. My first draft is the original completed drawing. My second draft is a grayscale style colored version.
