The Dilapidated Boat

The Dilapidated Boat
Some people call Dungeness beach "The Boat Graveyard". The reason behind this is due to the littered remains of ancient fishing boats, deteriorating huts and timeworn ropes. They can be found along the desolate shingle beach just a short distance from the lighthouse. To the right of this boat you will see rusty narrow gauge tracks which are held up by rather unstable, old sleepers. The wagon's that sat upon the tracks presumably were used by fisherman to carry their catch to road vehicles.
