For all people, especially children, thinking about space is one of the strongest sources of inspiration. Even for those who are not going into outer space, it is important to remember that all people and the world around us are part of that space.
However, to inspire children and encourage them to create and explore the world around them, it is not necessary to literally depict other planets or rockets. In the context of a school, any familiar object in an unfamiliar location can already direct thoughts in a new and interesting direction. Abstract wall graphics, suspended lights in the form of balloons and rings, and finishing materials which are as atypical of the school as possible, all create an unusual, but comfortable and neutral enough environment for children to engage with their creativity.
In addition to the lighting and decorative elements, the school has also implemented functional elements from the realm of space - a gigantic timetable board like in a mission control centre, LED tickers displaying the status of classes in the classrooms, and comfortable cylindrical benches resembling parts of a rocket
