Sherwood 2020
I've spent a huge amount of time photographing Sherwood Forest over the last few years. In 2018 this resulted in a small book documenting a full year's worth of exploration of the area. While I haven't spent anywhere near as much time since then, there's still something drawing me back whenever the conditions are right.
Several of the areas I visited in previous years showed promise, but were always one to revisit in better conditions.
The other weekend, with fog hanging around all day, it was the perfect opportunity to go back to some of these locations. One at the top of my list was a large area of beech with a really clean forest floor, I'd not seen anything like it round here before and was eager to get there on a morning like this.
I went into the forest at a far corner where I visited on one of the first times photographing Sherwood, and there were plenty of other images to be found along the way.
Here's a few of my favourites from the morning.
