Katha is a unique model that seamlessly connects grassroots work in story, education and urban resurgence. It started with the main objective-to enhance the joy of reading. It is therefore, an NGO as well as a publication house. I did my diploma project with the publication house at Katha and was responsible for creating a space that aimed at transforming the lives of children through books, thereby enhancing the joy of reading. Also, this space provided self employment to the women and children working in the vocational training centres at Katha as their handmade products were displayed here and sold.
