I loved the visual direction that Ubisoft created when they made Division. It is one of the interfaces that inspired me and made me fall in love with Sci-fi UI design.
The first Division integrated diegetic UI elements into its core gameplay. I sought to create something that would be familiar to existing users and yet bring in a style of my own.

I really like the results as it shows a different approach to how they interface might look by just tweaking some the shape language.
Of course, whether or not this design is scalable for the system or is better for UX is not something I have answers to.
It took a whole team of very talented designers to create what Ubisoft has today and I can only look forward to learning more from them in future GDC talks.
All I know is I had a lot of fun making this.
