This is a short documentary I made in 2012 for a class with Julie Wyman, a professor in the Cinema & Technocultral Studies Department at the University of California, Davis and a documentary filmmaker. I decided to make my film about Judy Dater, a hugely important portrait photographer who has worked along side other greats such as Imogen Cunningham and Ansel Adams. In this film Judy discusses her most famous work "Imogen & Twinka", one of the most iconic images of the 20th century. She talks about the challenges of having a piece become so popular that it becomes a "signature image" and describes her approach to photography as well as the meaning it carries in her life.

This film was selected by a jury for inclusion in the 2013 University of California, Davis Film Festival.
