Bringing families together
CONTEXT
The Connect app brings together two generations, the old and the young, through an integrated platform of seamless communication and simulated in person experiences.
PROBLEM
For many grandparents, communicating with their grandchildren when they are not physically together presents a large challenge. With an abundance of technology at their fingertips, including everything from email, phone calls, and endless applications, it is difficult for this generation to find the best and easiest way to stay in touch with their grandchildren. They want to keep up to date, see photos, and have experiences they have typically have in person, such as playing games and bantering back and forth between moves. However, with an overwhelming amount of complicated technology in their way, it is difficult for them to find and manage all these forms of communication.
SOLUTION
The Connect app provides a comprehensive platform that incorporates each of these desired aspects with a simple interface for them to navigate. With components such as video & photo share and messaging, grandparents can keep in touch with their grandchildren in this straightforward way. What stands out with Connect is the capability for grandparents and grandchildren to play games and with each move, send recorded messages back and forth, allowing them to banter as they do when they play games in person together. Connect brings families together by allowing them to continue to stay in touch through a simple platform, while simulating experiences that they have in person through games and recorded messages in the app.
