The lotus artwork is actually an area rug that I decided to build my design around.
I took first place in the Mid Century Modern Design Challenge with this design. I was inspired initially by the painting I used as the view, and didn't set out to do a mid century modern design!
This room is designed around this custom sofa, and it is a La-Z-Boy piece! I am able to design a room just like this with the resources available through La-Z-Boy. I would like to see my design fantasies become realities.
Or a baby girl! I especially like the soft texture of the rug and its bold color.
This is not your average family room. It is for her and her dog and cat. The TV is tastefully concealed.
