סרט דוקומנטרי המבוסס על ראיונות מוקלטים שערך במשך למעלה מעשור ד״ר דרור הררי, מרצה בכיר וראש החוג לאמנות התיאטרון באוניברסיטת תל אביב, לצרכי מחקר. דרור מדבר עם חלוצי האמנות המושגית והפרפורמנס בארץ: האוצר יונה פישר, ההיסטוריון ד״ר גדעון עפרת, האמנים אביטל גבע, מיכה אולמן, אפרת נתן, שרון קרן ועוד. החומרים המצולמים ניתנו לעדה רימון, שערכה מהם סרט מרתק המספר את כניסתה של ׳הפעולה׳ אל האמנות הישראלית, דרך סיפורים, עדויות ותיעודים. הסרט מקנה צורה למחקרו של דרור הררי ומתגלים בו השורשים מהם צמח אילן היוחסין של אמנות המיצג בישראל.
A documentary film based on recorded interviews, conducted by Dr. Dror Harari, a Senior Lecturer and Head of Theatre Studies at Tel Aviv University, for research purposes. DR. Harari speaks with the pioneers of the local conceptual and performance arts scene: curator Yonah Fisher, art historion Gideon Ofrat, and artists Avital Geva, Michah Ulman, Efrat Natan, Sharon Keren, amongst others. The footage was given to Ada Rimon, who then edited it into a fascinating film about the arrival of the 'action' into the Israeli art world via stories, testimonials and documentations. The film gives form to Dror Harari's research, as well as a fertile bed for the seeds from which the Israeli performance art scene sprung from.
