Design with SHAPL for Hongik university Graduation show

In order to feel comfortable holding the body by hand, the hair designer made a button that can adjust the wind strength and cold wind, and designed it for users to adjust easily with a hair dryer.

In addition, the handle is also used as a stand and can be removed, so even non- professional hair designers can use the hair dryer at home.

Problem

Hair designers grab the body of a dryer, not the handle of a hair dryer, to make it easier and more efficient when styling their hair. However, there are various problems, such as discomfort and line-twisting, that come from repeating the same behavior.

Needs / Insight

Therefore, Hairdryer that designed for professional hairdryers could not only hold the handle of the hairdryer but also the body comfortably while solving these problems.

Design

The handle is detachable. Also, the handle acts as a stand.
There are buttons for wind strength and temperature control on the front, and power buttons on the back.

The design is easy for users to use by holding the body, and it is designed in a way that reduces strain on the wrist.

Process

A test was conducted on the grip and shape felt when holding the product, and verification was also conducted on whether the stand could function as a stand.
