Small details in nature are everywhere. Walking down the street you may stop and pick up a brightly colored leaf, inspect it and decide to keep it with you as a small token that brings you joy. Another day you may find a tiny, detailed shell at the beach and keep it just as you did the leaf before. These small joys found in nature range from all different shapes, sizes, colors and details. I chose to focus on a red cabbage cut in half for my sculpture, photograph and poster. To show the variety of possibilities one might discover in their everyday life, I chose to create a typographic poster using all the different letters in the alphabet to show a large range. Each letter was hand crafted in a unique way to highlight the letter’s individual curves and lines.
