This is my official entry to the Character Creator Digital Human Contest 2020 by Reallusion. The aim of this contest is to create a human model with Character Creator and use it as a base for designing your own original character using any tools you like.

For my entry I wanted to create a futuristic character inspired by the aesthetics of a dragonfly. Annie is a fast-flying, lightly-armored scout, tasked with observation and reconnaissance. Her large, powerful wings and light, flexible body give her unmatched agility in the air, making her a very hard target to hit.

I went for a full-on high-poly, cinematic-quality character with displacement maps and sub-d geometry. Using Character Creator to make a base model, I fashioned her suit in Zbrush and 3ds Max. Most of the texture work was done in Substance Painter, whereas the skin textures were generated in Character Creator. The final renders were done in 3ds Max with Vray Next, and the post-processing was done in Photoshop.
