If you are in the northern East coast in a somewhat rural area during the month of November the chances are very high that you will see a turkey.  It is funny how all the sudden they just saunter out from the woods looking completely aloof.  I want to say to them, go away and hide you silly bird!  This turkey was extremely brave when I was in my car.  It came all the way up to the bumper and I thought that it might peck at the hood.  Ofcourse, when I came out of the car to get a better look it quickly scampered away.  I think their plummage is quite striking.
The name Hells Hollow Falls comes from the fact that there is a lime kiln located in this wooded area.  It was used to extract lime from the limestone that is abundant in the area.  People used lime to make fertilizer and other products.  At night they would burn the limestone and it created a fiery appearance, hence the name was fitting.  There used to be access to the lime kiln, but someone must have gotten stuck in it and now it is blocked by a metal grate(😩)  I also wanted to take shots of the lime kiln, but having a grate in front of it kind of ruins it completely.  In the past I had come across difficulties in finding this location and also photographing it.  The beauty of living within an hour away from it is that I can make multiple return trips and shoot in varying types of weather, lighting, and times of day.  I was happy this time because I seemed to "crack the code", and find a way to capture it in a balanced light.  My main purpose this time was to get video and the photography was a secondary goal.  I used Canon's c-Log shooting mode and was able to find ways to color grade this kind of footage.  I really enjoy the c-log and the expanded color editing capabilities that I edited in Premier Pro cc.  I stuck with full HD video this time, but I will get into 4k video at some point.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed these works,
