Acoustic speaker

A non-conventional loudspeaker where the refined aesthetics meet wood quality sound. It's vintage design is inspired on the 70's radio player, contributing to the room's decoration with its unique looks and fitting specially on a mid-century styled space.
Process
After a moodboard construction and product sketches were made, the wood work started. Teak wood layers were cutted according to the meassurments of the technical planes with a circular saw, and pasted over each other. Once it was dry, the acoustic shell shape was cut on it with a CNC machine, and the sound entrance hole too, with a milling machine. After this, the speakers front cap was cut on the laser cutting machine, and the bottom cap was join to the main cube with a box and tenon joint. Finally, every single part of the speaker was sand and the sealer was applied in order to achieve a glossy finish.
