Martin Luther king Jr. Speech / Type Book
The assignment is to design a book using Martin Luther King Jr’s, “I have a dream” speech. The speech in that moment in 1963, became a speech for all the ages. My research took me to India where I studied the teachings of Gandhi and compared those to that of MLK Jr. As I explored many meanings in multiple cultures, I came to the conclusion that there is one true healer, Love.
This book is my understanding of the message MLK Jr. speaks in 1963. These words are not bound to one period in time, nor are they bound to one issue or group of people. On the contrary these words of equality and love are spoken to all, across endless generations.
