Capital One is a brand focused on changing banking for good, hence their slogan "banking reimagined". They're centered around the ingenuity, simplicity, and humanity of banking, but their current branding builds an outdated, mechanical wall between the brand and her consumers. My rebrand focused on emphasizing their values, while bringing the company to the modern age. 

The logo abandons the former swoosh, and adopts a clean and current typographic icon, with identifiable touches such as the dot above the 'i' and the personality from the 't'. To avoid total destruction of the well-established brand, I kept the color scheme of blue and red, but tweaked it to become friendlier, representing their ethos better, and adding a contemporary gradient, a nod at their previous 2008 subtle logo redesign. I also added a series of icons that will be used throughout their website, app, and advertisements that are able to stand in as identities for an otherwise simple logo-base.
