UI & UX e-Commerce Redesign

e-Commerce Redesign for KCS
KCS came to BlueAcorn to redesign their entire e-Commerce website, which included updates to their Brand, Information Architecture, Style Guide, UI Patterns and Interaction Design.
My Role
Lead UI/UX Designer responsible for Branding updates, Style Guide, UI design, Interaction design. In addition, I was responsible for working with a UX Researcher at BlueAcorn to review and uncover insights from quant/qual data. This data was used to create a UX Blueprint Roadmap, Proto-Personas, IA, etc. During this project, I was also accountable for the Dev hand-off and QA of all UI/UX items that were implemented by a 3rd party development team.
Mood-boards
Three different boards were created to help drive Brand, UI and Concept work
Information Architecture
While onsite with the client, we completed a 2 day card sorting exercise to finalize the structure and taxonomy for the entire website.
Wireframe Sketches
These sketches were created by me and the Creative Director during the three day on-site UX Workshop with the KCS Team. User personas, quant/qual data, stakeholder input, sticky note ideas and team voting helped drive the outcome shown in some of the examples below.
Lo-Fi
I created Lo-Fi screens for all sections/pages lined out in the Scope of Work, but these were the only copies I was able to retain.
Style Guide
Hi-Fi Concepts
I created these initial concepts based on branding updates and two out of the three mood-boards

Dev Hand-Off
After all Hi-Fi prototypes were signed off on by the Client, I created a Zeplin project per the 3rd party development team's request. This became the source of truth followed and referenced for the Devs and QA during the implementation portion of the project.
