ÇAYNAME

 

Lots of  literary works are written in Ottoman literature under the name “ Çayname”. A divine love, ferlility, abundance or a lover are the various represantations of “tea” in this literary works.

 

I designed “Çayname” exclusively for Biev company which name’s comes from this cultural heritage. It is a new interpretation of traditional Turkish tea glass inspired by the Turkish tea culture. The porcelain saucer not only defines separate areas for sugar and tea spoon but also aims to prevent sliding.
