For this issue's cover, the feature is on Arab Springs. The scene depicts rebels as they watch the burning of a middle eastern city, referenced from the distinct architecture of Yemen. The contrast of the silent act of waiting and the implied chaos from the burning city was the highlight for me in this composition. I added highlights of light from the fire reflected against the columns of smoke for dramatic effect.
