FILM POSTERS

The series was inspired by the Polish School of Posters, a movement originated in the 60s that occupies a prominent place in the history of Polish Posters, a movement originated in the 60s that occupies a prominent place in the history of Polish graphic design.
During Soviet occupation, the poster became a tool of resistance — something that reflected attitudes and outlooks which were undeniably Polish. They are characterised by use of symbolism, metaphor and artistic integration places emphasis not only on using visual tools to attract and engage a viewer but also on conveying messages that communicate the essence of the film. In consequence, a viewer has a space to come up with their own interpretation of narrative content. The series is my personal take on that concept. Each of the designs places emphasis not only on using visual tools to attract and engage a viewer but also on conveying messages that communicate the essence of the film. In consequence, a viewer has a space to come up with their own interpretation of narrative content.
